Our Offices
Our offices are both clean, modern and well-designed to deal with modern dental technique. The reception areas have comfortable chairs and good air flow. We have large-screen TVs (sound down) with news and dental videos that entertain and help inform the patient.
Our Columbia Office: 5251 Forest Drive
The original structure was built in 1969, and Dr. Robert's first day of private dental practice was May 5, 1969. The office was improved in 1989 and enlarged in 1999 to accommodate Dr. Marc Berger who entered practice in 2000. We completed another addition in February 2008 that gave us 17 treatment rooms total. We have six dentists, including an oral surgeon and a periodontist. There are 7,300 square feet at our Columbia location. We have surgical suites and recovery, as well as excellent lab and conference space. We have over 200 feet of frontage on Forest Drive just one mile from I-77 and very adequate parking, as well as easy access and visibility. We perform IV sedation in Columbia as well as oral sedation at both locations.
We have digital X-ray capability at both locations, including a Cone-Beam 3-D Digital Unit in Columbia as of April 2008. The Panoramic and Intraoral x-rays are also digital. This greatly lowers x-ray exposure and allows us to show patients the enlarged x-rays on TV screens in the treatment rooms. The twin computer servers combined with T-1 communication lines allow us to be on-line office-to-office and share files between the two offices; therefore, we can share data including the digital x-rays .
Our Elgin Office: 2521 Main Street (US #1)
The present Elgin office was built in 1985 and enlarged in 2003. We have 2,500 square feet of space and seven treatment rooms. We are located on US 1 across from the IGA food store at 2521 Main Street. We have doctors there four days a week and have back-up at the Columbia location on Fridays. We are set up in Elgin to be connected to Columbia so all records are online at both locations with our powerful twin servers and T-1 high speed communication lines.
Our equipment is up to date at both facilities, and we are not limited by facility. Many dental practices are sending labwork overseas for half-price lab fees. We do not outsource for lab work, and thus quality of work and metals used are regulated properly by the U.S. Government to comply with American Dental Association Standards. This protects our patients from carcinogenic metals and materials. It also provides the patients with restorations that hold up well .
